Natalya Petrova, specially for the site

Good day to all! Today we will talk about oats. No - no, not about oatmeal, but about oat grains.

A little about the culprit of the recall ....

Oat is known as a medicinal plant, which has a rich composition and many useful properties. What is not there: potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, chromium, manganese, zinc, nickel, fluorine, iodine, sulfur, vitamins, essential oils, and that's not all.

The range of diseases and ailments in which it is recommended to use decoctions and infusions of oats is also quite wide: it is obesity, since oats help regulate metabolism, these are nervous disorders and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, oats are also indicated for diabetes, it helps to function cardiovascular system, lowers blood cholesterol and there are still very, very many indications for use.

I think many have tried washing with oatmeal. So I do this from time to time. One of the beautiful days, I decided to read about oats, to find out what kind of animal it is. It turned out that decoctions and infusions of oats are also used internally for the treatment of acne, i.e. from acne. The reviews were mostly good, so I stocked up with patience and willpower (and they will come in handy one hundred percent in this case) and began to try the wonderful oatmeal properties on myself.

What oats to buy?

I think no matter what. I used 2 different brands and did not find any significant differences.

Most often I bought this oats like this:

This is oats produced by IP Imashev, Perm Territory. You can buy oats in the department of healthy nutrition, if your city has one or in a pharmacy. By the way, the price of oat grains is quite pleasing - for 400 grams on average from 40 to 60 rubles, depending on the place of purchase.

Oats themselves look like this:

How to cook oats:

I used several ways:

Method number 1.   Oat broth. At the very beginning of application for about 1 week I cooked a decoction of oats. She took an ordinary faceted glass, poured 1/3 cup of grains, washed thoroughly, poured into a saucepan, poured three glasses of water, brought to a boil and then over low heat, preferably in a water bath or using a fire spray, boiled for about 1 hour. The result was a decoction yield - 1 glass. The broth turns a transparent tan.

Method number 2.   In the reviews that I read, people recommended cooking not a decoction, but a kiss from oats. But it didn’t work out for me, but the thing was that the oat shell did not boil and therefore only a decoction was obtained. In general, in order to get jelly, it is necessary to grind oat grains in a coffee grinder for example. How to cook: take 1/3 cup whole oat grains, grind them, pour 3 cups of water, bring to a boil and cook in a water bath or using a fire spray for 30-40 minutes, filter. Exit 1 - 1.5 cups jelly. Kissel turns cloudy, white - gray.

What is the difference between a decoction and jelly? The broth is more pleasant to drink, the jelly is thicker, has a milky flavor, plus the cold jelly is not very pleasant, so it must be diluted with hot water before use. In my case, the body perceived the broth better, but since all the same in the reviews it was written about jelly, I decided that I would cook it.

How to apply oats

I took jelly from oats for 3 months, daily, 1/3 cup 3 times a day half an hour before meals. That is, on the day I drank 1 glass of jelly.

That is why I said that it is necessary to stock up with patience and willpower .....

It is advisable not to skip the kissel techniques or to do it as rarely as possible.

Is there any effect?

There is an effect, but it does not appear immediately. After about 1 - 1.5 months of use, I began to notice that subcutaneous acne began to visit my face less often, my skin began to gloss a little less. Some note that at the first time of applying jelly, the face sprinkles heavily, about the same as in some when washing with oatmeal, the body is supposedly cleansed. I had no such effect.

But I want to upset myself and others: I did not completely get rid of acne with the internal use of oats, but I repeat once again that subcutaneous acne has become smaller and they appear less often.

But there are other important effects:

1. Strengthens the immune system. I became sick less often.

2. Charges with energy. You are like a battery. Vivacity appears, mood improves.

3. Weight loss. Indeed, for me it was amazing. I didn’t need to lose weight at all, since I was thin, I lost weight before using oats, and then I also lost about 2 kg while using oats. And this despite the fact that you can eat as much as you like. Well, in general, you can eat and not get fat. So, one should be careful with this property of oats. Because excessive thinness is also not good.

P.S

Here I want to say about which oats are better not to buy. In one store I bought a weighed oat, its price was even flattened and it looked very beautiful, but the jelly from it turns out to be very thick, so thick that it is impossible to even drink it and very - very tasteless. Here is a photo of such an oat

This camping trip deals with pure oat kernels. I don’t know at all, but I would not recommend such oats for use.

Also here I want to say about another way to use oats. This is an infusion of oats. It is prepared from unripened grains:

I bought this oat from one grandmother in the market, she advised me this recipe. And the recipe is this: take a handful of herbs, pour into a jar, and pour boiling water, insist for 30 minutes and the whole drink is ready to drink. But this is more like an addition. Now I drink it 1-2 times a week instead of tea. Very tasty, similar to herbal tea.

What else I want to say: face cleansing is a complex thing, external and internal cleansing is necessary. Therefore, do not be afraid to experiment, but do not forget that almost any remedy, even folk, has contraindications. Do not be lazy, before you try something, first read about this information. Perhaps somewhere you will need a doctor’s consultation))) Thank you all for your attention.

Biologically active substances contained in products from oats help exfoliate dead skin cells, thereby facilitating its renewal, nourish and soften the skin, making it smooth and supple, soft and velvety.

It is no coincidence that famous cosmetic companies produce creams, scrubs, cosmetic milk, soap, shampoos and tonics based on oat extract. Oat extract is a popular ingredient in anti-aging cosmetics. It calms and nourishes, normalizes cell metabolism, and also relieves minor inflammation and heals microtraumas. Oat products are also used in medical cosmetics to create ointments, balms, gels for the treatment of various skin diseases.

But nothing prevents the use of commonly available and inexpensive products from oats for cosmetic procedures at home. With regular use, home-made cosmetics based on oat products may well compete with expensive imported ones. Cooking them is very simple, they produce an almost instant effect. A valuable advantage of homemade oatmeal cosmetics is that they have a beneficial effect on any type of skin. If the skin is oily, porous, oats cleanses it, eliminates the oily sheen, prevents the appearance of inflammation and acne; dry, sensitive skin - effectively moisturizes and nourishes; normal and combination skin - refreshes, maintains a balance of moisture and nutrients.

In home cosmetology, they use oatmeal, cereal, butter, bran, and oat straw and oats seedlings.

Oatmeal wash

If you want to always look good and restore your skin freshness and firmness, try regularly washing with oatmeal. This procedure is suitable for cleaning any type of skin, but it is especially recommended for sensitive, prone to peeling, as well as oily and irritated skin. Thanks to it, the skin becomes smooth and delicate, acquires a natural color and blush.

Oatmeal can be washed in several ways:

  1. Grind 1 cup of oatmeal in a coffee grinder (but not to the state of flour), add 1 tsp. drinking soda, mix well. Store in a glass bowl. For washing to 1 tbsp. l mix the mixture with water, milk or kefir until gruel forms, apply on the neck and face and wash with it in the usual way as a foam for washing. When the mass begins to easily glide over the skin, rinse it off with warm water, then rinse your face with cool salted or acidified water.
  2. You can do it easier: 1 tbsp. l put small oatmeal in the palm of your hand, moisten it with water and carefully, gently wipe it with a wet face, gently rubbing it into the skin and bypassing the area around the eyes, then rinse your face with cool water. Before washing with oatmeal in this way, put a mesh in the sink so as not to clog the sewer.
  3. 1 tbsp. l put the oatmeal chopped in the coffee grinder in a gauze bag or nodule, hold it for 5 minutes in warm water and use as soap. In the evenings, it is useful to wipe the skin with a decoction of oatmeal. For its preparation, 2 tbsp. l oatmeal pour 1 liter. hot water, cook for 10 minutes, drain, let cool. Moisten a cotton pad in the broth and wipe the face with light circular motions. This procedure will cleanse and smooth the skin, as well as prevent the appearance of wrinkles.

Check out the recipes for oat face masks to help your skin always be healthy, fresh and supple.

The mask should be applied from the bottom up, along the massage lines, starting from the chin (or, if necessary, from the neckline and neck), and ending with the forehead. Keep in mind that the skin is most susceptible to various cosmetic procedures from 18-20 hours.

If the skin is oily, do homemade cosmetic masks every other day, if dry - 2 times a week. If the mask is done carefully and in accordance with all the rules, then its action lasts for 3-4 days. Hello dear ladies! Today I continue the theme of the fight against wrinkles. And I opted for the most healthy product. The product, which in the statements of nutritionists, cosmetologists and other -ologists has long gained a reputation as the very, most cleansing. Guessed? Exactly, this is oatmeal.

Masks from it are useful for everyone. An oatmeal facial mask helps to treat wrinkles, heals acne, soothes sensitive skin, nourishes, refreshes, cleans pores, and relieves inflammation - just don’t list all its advantages. At home, to make it - there is nothing easier: pour oatmeal or flakes with boiling water, but a spoon of honey there - beauty! But why does such a simple mask act like that?

Composition and properties

What is good oats for skin? Well, let's start with its consistency. It is good for masks in that it contains starch. Have you steamed oatmeal or flour? So, you know that this forms a kind of paste - a thick, enveloping mass. It dries on the skin, tightening it with a mask, and while it dries, it nourishes our skin with vitamins and a bunch of other useful substances.

Here are some vitamins oatmeal contains:

  • Carotene is a substance that helps to absorb vitamin A (by the way, A, in spite of all the statements found in various sources, is not found in oats, so oatmeal should be eaten with oil, and it is useful to add a pharmacy vitamin to a face mask).
  • A number of vitamins of group B.
  • Vitamin E (tocopherol).

But what are the trace elements:

  • potassium;
  • calcium;
  • magnesium;
  • sodium;
  • sulfur;
  • phosphorus.

By the way!   I recently found out that an unpleasantly smelling, dangerous, and poisonous sulfur is a "mineral of beauty." Its effect on the skin, hair and nails allowed to call this element. And in the body, sulfur is part of the most important amino acids and is involved in the synthesis of collagen.

So we got to the amino acids. These substances in the composition of oats are very important for us. Indeed, thanks to them, all metabolic processes occur in our body, cells breathe, skin is renewed, skin is rejuvenated, collagen and elastane are produced. And the amino acids in oats are full, and their ratio is simply ideal, both for internal and external use.

Proper use

Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your mask.

  1. You can make cereal masks, but personally I like flour more. How to cook it? It's as simple as that: I throw the cereal into the coffee grinder - and in a minute it is ready. Masks are made thicker from flour, and their consistency is more tender.
  2. Before preparing the mask, flour (or cereal) must be specially prepared - brewed or at least steamed with boiling water to make a dense mass. Then you need to let her brew for about five minutes. After that, you can enter the remaining components into it.
  3. Apply the mask only to cleansed skin, avoiding the area around the eyes.
  4. How long should we keep the mask on our gentle faces? No more than 15-20 minutes: the oatmeal dries quite quickly, so the exposure time is limited.
  5. Try to apply this wonderful medicine for age not only externally, but also inside: eat oatmeal. Then the impact will be complex, and therefore more complete.

And now, dear ladies, when we figured out the composition, action and proper use of oatmeal, we go directly to the goal - the recipes.

Kisel Coast

Why jelly? This is from my childhood left. My grandmother often cooked oatmeal jelly. Yes, so cool that we cut him with a knife. Tasty was extraordinary! But, here the grandmother died, and the recipe for her kissel was forgotten, no one is cooking.

But today we will prepare oatmeal kissel for completely different purposes. After all, do we have beauty on schedule today? So, in order to prepare the oatmeal blank for the mask, pour two tablespoons of water (you can milk or a decoction of herbs) into the bowl, add a spoonful of oatmeal to it. We put our farm in a water bath and, constantly stirring, bring to a boil. As soon as the mass begins to thicken, remove from heat and cool.

All! This is an oatmeal base. And to it you can already add all of the following nutritional benefits. What kind? Attention!

Mask with honey

About I spoke recently. But, there was no talk about the combination with oatmeal, but in vain it is an excellent mask, especially for dry skin. So, we take our billet of jelly (if in a hurry, you can just pour a spoonful of oatmeal with a spoonful of hot milk) and add:

  • a spoonful of honey and
  • a teaspoon of sour cream
  • if the skin is dry, mix in the resulting mass oil - olive, butter, avocado oil or wheat germ.

Another version of this mask - with the addition of an egg or just an egg yolk, is ideal for aging skin.

With avocado

Knead half an avocado in a gentle mashed potatoes. Add a couple of tablespoons of oatmeal (or cereal). Bring to the desired consistency, adding olive oil.

With tea

The simplest but very effective mask. We steam (or brew!) Flakes with hot tea (two tablespoons of cereal or flour - a spoon of tea). Black tea - for dark skin, green - for light. The high antioxidant content in green tea guarantees you a youthful return. And if the tea is with mint - this guarantees a calming and cooling effect.

There is also a variation with herbs - initially mix oatmeal with crushed (sage, or look which one suits you best) and steam this mixture with milk or just some water. In conclusion, it’s good to add a spoonful of honey.

With cottage cheese and fruit

In the oatmeal base, add an equal amount of cottage cheese and mashed potatoes from any fruit: apples, kiwi, bananas, persimmons and strawberries are also welcome. You can dilute the mask with fruit juice - this will give an additional tightening effect - or with dairy products (milk, cream, sour cream) to give the skin smoothness.

With starch

Very interesting mask with a double lift-effect. What is needed for her:

  • a spoon of oatmeal
  • starch - a tablespoon,
  • as much milk (or cream)
  • two spoons of mineral water,
  • teaspoon wheat germ oil
  • a pill.

We combine the two bases - oatmeal and starch (see how to brew starch for a mask), add wheat germ oil. Soak the mummy in 0.5 tablespoons of water (so that the tablet melts), and then send it to the general composition. Apply to the face and hold until dry (15 minutes), rinse with warm water.

Cereals? Flour? Milk!

The most valuable in any product can be extracted by insisting, thickening, drawing. And here is one of such methods for extracting useful substances from oatmeal (flakes) - obtaining oat milk. In fact, this, of course, is not milk at all, but even an infusion - and he initially gained popularity in official medicine - as a medicine for treating the liver - and only then - in cosmetology.

Oatmeal recipe

It is very simple to cook: for 150 g of oats (grain or cereal - whoever likes it) they take 1.5 liters of water. Water temperature and cooking time vary depending on the raw material.

If we cook from grains, we boil it in a thermos with boiling water for the night, if from cereals, fill it with water a little warmer than room temperature for only 20 minutes. Then scroll in a blender and get a thick jelly - not jelly. We filter it - this is it, the famous oat milk.

It can be used both internally and externally - in any case, its benefits will be invaluable.

  • Inside. They drink it 2-3 times a day, always before meals — about 30 minutes. It cleanses the body, treats the gastrointestinal tract, liver, all kinds of gastritis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis — and, accordingly, improves the skin.
  • Outwardly. Use as a face tonic. Apply to cleansed skin for 20 minutes, wash off, shine - by the way, in the literal sense of the word, this is not for you to wash yourself. The skin after this oat tonic is filled with such a delicate matte radiance - a miracle is simple!
  • And another option for using milk - pour into molds and freeze. I already talked about the benefits, but here's another recipe in the piggy bank.

A slightly modified variation on the theme of oatmeal in the video:

Is there any harm?

Now, as usual, it is necessary to write about contraindications - but there is nothing to write about. Oatmeal does not seem to have any contraindications - unless you have a rare case of cereal allergy. So carefully consider the ingredients that you add to the mask - and if they do not cause negative reactions in you, then feel free to use the mask.

Write in the comments which oatmeal masks you like. Your feedback is very important to me. And I say goodbye to you, dear ladies. To the new masks!
